Wakemake is a budget makeup brand from South Korea, founded in 2015 by CJ Olive Young (in-house brand). It's best known for its Soft Blurring Eye Palette, Water Velvet Cover Foundation and Water Blurring Fixing Tint.
Wakemake launched in 2015 as the in-house color cosmetics brand of CJ Olive Young, South Korea's dominant health-and-beauty retailer. Built around the tagline "Wake Your Color. Make Your Story," the line was designed for young professionals in their 20s and 30s who wanted studio-quality, trend-forward color in finely curated shade spectrums — and it became the brand that consistently topped Olive Young's eyeshadow and tint rankings on the strength of its Soft Blurring Eye Palette franchise.
Wakemake earned its US wave through Olive Young Global and TikTok Shop, where its long-wear, comfort-first formulas — the Water Velvet Cover Foundation, Water Blurring Fixing Tint, Any-Proof Pen Eyeliner, and the 16-shade Soft Blurring Eye Palettes — pulled the brand into the same conversation as rom&nd and Peripera.
