Malagna Cosmetics is a Mexican indie brand built entirely around gothic and alternative beauty, founded by two sisters who set out to make dark, expressive makeup that Latin American goths could actually buy locally instead of importing from the US or Europe. The name and the whole visual identity — skulls, bats, deep violets and true blacks — come from one sister's design work, while the other ran the day-to-day of a scrappy family operation. Every formula is vegan and cruelty-free, and the range leans into the shades most mainstream lines skip: genuinely opaque matte black lipsticks, high-pigment eyeshadows, long-wear liquid liners and moody purples.
