Beauty without plastic.

Mexico·Founded 2022·by Nour Tayara & Rodrigo Peñafiel

Aora (stylized AORA México) is a Mexico City color-cosmetics brand founded in 2022 by Nour Tayara, a former L'Oréal executive of Lebanese descent, and his Mexican business partner Rodrigo Peñafiel. Built on the belief that luxury design, high-performance formulas and environmental responsibility should never be mutually exclusive, Aora is 100% plastic-free — every product is housed in tin, aluminum or wood, and the brand is certified plastic-negative through rePurpose Global, removing roughly nine times the weight of each purchase in plastic from nature.

The line leans into its Mexican identity, formulating with native ingredients like five regional chiles, tepezcohuite and cactus flower. Its pyramid-shaped Mírame eyeshadow palette, three-time sold-out Inícia Illuminating Primer, and viral Acaríciame Más Spicy Lip Serum — known for a tingling heat powered by Mexican chiles — turned Aora into a creator and celebrity-MUA favorite. In July 2026 it made history as Sephora's first fully plastic-free beauty brand, after earlier US entry through Credo Beauty.
