What Is Strobing?

Strobing is highlighting the high points of the face for a strong, luminous glow—often with minimal contour.

Strobing focuses on light rather than shadow. Cream or liquid highlighter is applied to cheekbones, brow bone, nose bridge, and cupid's bow for a dewy, lit-from-within effect. It became popular as a softer alternative to heavy contour.

Tips

  • Apply highlighter where light naturally hits. Use a damp sponge for a seamless blend.
