What Is Hooded Eyes?

Hooded eyes have a fold of skin that droops over the crease, so the lid is partially or fully hidden when the eye is open.

With hooded eyes, eyeshadow placement is adjusted so color is visible above the natural crease. Techniques like placing the crease shade higher and using thinner liner help the look show when eyes are open.

Tips

  • Place transition and crease shades slightly above your natural crease so they're visible when your eyes are open.
