What Is Concealer Triangle?
The concealer triangle is an application technique where concealer is applied in an inverted triangle shape under the eye—point facing down toward the cheek—to brighten, lift, and create a smooth canvas.
Rather than dabbing concealer only on dark circles, the triangle method extends the concealer from the inner corner of the eye outward to the outer corner and down to a point near the mid-cheek. This shape brightens the entire under-eye area, creates a lifted effect, and provides a smooth base for blush and contour. The triangle can be blended with a sponge or brush and set with a light dusting of powder. It's a staple technique in full-glam and bridal makeup.
Tips
- Draw the triangle with concealer one to two shades lighter than your skin tone.
- Blend with a damp beauty sponge for the most seamless finish.
- Set lightly with powder only if you crease; skip powder if your skin is dry.
