Valdé Beauty is a luxury lipstick house founded in 2020 by Margarita Arriagada, who spent nearly a decade as Sephora's chief merchant — the person who helped bring lines like Kat Von D and Stila to the retailer — before launching her own brand in her late sixties. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Arriagada built Valdé as an homage to her mother and to Latinx heritage, insisting that a lipstick could be both sustainable and an object worthy of sitting out on a vanity like a piece of art.

The brand's signature is its refillable "Armor" case: a weighty, engravable vessel that holds interchangeable lipstick and lip-balm refills, sold with storage boxes and protective pouches at a genuine luxury price point. It is a deliberate counter to disposable bullet lipsticks, positioning refillability as prestige rather than compromise.
