Makeup Revolution
Budget“Prestige looks, drugstore prices.”
By Viktoria @vioda.makeup · Published · Updated
Makeup Revolution is a budget makeup brand from the United Kingdom, founded in 2014 by Adam Minto & Tom Allsworth. It's best known for its Reloaded Eyeshadow Palettes, Liquid Glow Highlighter and Conceal & Define Foundation.
Makeup Revolution launched in 2014 out of Birmingham, England as the makeup arm of Revolution Beauty, built around an explicit fast-fashion thesis: spot a viral prestige product, develop a dupe in weeks not months, and sell it at sub-£10. The brand has been one of the most-cited dupe houses in TikTok and YouTube reviews for nearly a decade, with formulas openly modeled after Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes, Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter, Urban Decay Naked, and Westman Atelier (controversially named the 'Westman Atelier dupe').
The Conceal & Define foundation, Reloaded eyeshadow palettes, and Liquid Glow Highlighter anchor the range, alongside an exhaustive lineup that covers virtually every prestige category at drugstore pricing. Revolution Beauty went public in 2021, faced a financial restatement crisis in 2022–23, and has since stabilized — but the dupe-first product strategy remains the defining trait. Sold at Boots, Superdrug, Ulta, Walmart, and revolutionbeauty.com.
