Leaked Labs is a 2026 launch from viral beauty educators Alexis Androulakis and cosmetic scientist Dr. Christina Basias Androulakis — the married couple known online as The Lipstick Lesbians. The concept, dating to 2024, flips the usual product cycle on its head: instead of polishing formulas for years behind closed doors, the brand releases high-potential 'leaks' straight from partner labs as limited early-access drops, inviting customers into the development process. It's a transparency-first, 'beauty in beta' model built for a creator-native audience.
The debut, Leak 001: Amplify Flexi Powder, is a $34 water-activated pigment disc that works as blush, eyeshadow, lip and highlighter, and it went massively viral — drawing coverage from Forbes, WWD and BeautyMatter. The launch was polarizing enough that the brand offered refunds amid debate over the water-activated format, which only kept it in the conversation.
