Premium“Makeup coloured entirely by plants.”

Le Rouge Français is a premium makeup brand from France, founded in 2018 by Élodie Carpentier & Salem Ghezaili. It's best known for its Pigments derived entirely from plants, No titanium dioxide or synthetic colorants and Cosmébio-certified, 95% organic and vegan.
Le Rouge Français was founded in 2018 by biotech engineer Élodie Carpentier and Salem Ghezaili around an unusually strict technical premise: color cosmetics pigmented entirely with plant-derived dyes, with no titanium dioxide and no synthetic colorants. Botanical pigments are notoriously difficult to stabilize into wearable, long-lasting shades, and solving that problem is the brand's core intellectual property rather than a marketing angle.
The range is certified Cosmébio, vegan, and roughly 95% organic and 100% natural, spanning lipsticks — including the award-winning Alizarine — alongside eye and complexion products. The brand has won Conscious Brand of the Year at Beautyworld Middle East and a clean-and-organic award at Cosmoprof North America, and now sells through around 100 retailers worldwide including Credo Beauty and Neiman Marcus in the US. With a Paris flagship open and a fundraise underway, it is one of the more credible clean-beauty makeup brands scaling into American prestige retail.

Brand Philosophy
Color can come from plants alone — pigment sourcing should not require titanium dioxide or synthetic dyes, even if botanical alternatives are harder to formulate.
