Caliray was launched in 2021 by Wende Zomnir, the co-founder and creative force behind Urban Decay, as her first new makeup brand since selling Urban Decay to L'Oréal. Inspired by the low-key glam of California, Caliray is built on a 'performance clean' philosophy: formulas free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, microplastics and formaldehyde that still deliver the long-wear payoff Zomnir became known for, housed in packaging made from upcycled ocean plastic.
