Alamar Cosmetics

Alamar Cosmetics was founded in 2017 by Cuban-American makeup artist Gabriela Trujillo, who started the brand out of her Miami garage after years working behind the chair. Named after a neighborhood in Havana, Alamar was built to celebrate Latin culture through vibrant, pigment-forward color cosmetics, and it quickly became one of the most visible Latina-owned indie makeup brands in the US.

The brand is best known for its Colorete Bronze blushes and richly saturated pressed pigments, formulas that lean bold and buildable rather than sheer. Alamar has picked up beauty-industry grants and retail attention while keeping an accessible price point, and its playful, culture-forward identity makes it a natural point of comparison for shoppers looking at other affordable, high-pigment lines.
