   Prime and transition

   Apply eyeshadow primer across the lids. Sweep a warm mauve or dusty rose transition shade into the crease with a fluffy brush. This creates the base gradient and prevents the berry shades from looking harsh.

   Layer a medium berry or plum shade into the crease and outer V, blending in windshield-wiper motions. Build the color gradually — two thin layers blend better than one heavy application. Concentrate the deepest color in the outer corner.

   Shimmer lid

   Pat a pink-champagne or mauve shimmer onto the center of the lid with a flat brush. This adds dimension and keeps the look from reading too matte or flat. The shimmer should complement the berry crease, not compete with it.
