Hermès Beauty is a luxury makeup brand from France, founded in 2020 by Pierre-Alexis Dumas (artistic director). It's best known for its Rouge Hermès refillable lipstick, Le Regard eye palettes and Plein Air complexion.
Hermès Beauty launched in 2020 with Rouge Hermès, the maison's first proper foray into makeup after a single limited-edition lipstick released in 2000 alongside the Rouge Hermès fragrance. The line is led by Pierre-Alexis Dumas, artistic director of Hermès, with makeup developed by Jérôme Touron (formerly of Chanel and Dior) and packaging designed by Pierre Hardy, the house's creative director of jewelry and shoes. The lipstick cases are refillable, mechanical objects engineered in the same spirit as a Hermès watch — designed to be opened, restocked, and kept for years.
Since the 2020 debut the métier has expanded into Le Regard (eye color), Plein Air complexion, blush, and a small but growing assortment of lip balms and glosses. Hermès has deliberately kept the line tight — slow seasonal drops, a small core color story, and pricing in the ultra-luxury bracket — positioning the makeup as a craft category alongside saddlery and silk rather than a fashion-house cosmetics line racing for shelf space.
