Doll Beauty launched in 2016 from Chester, England, founded by best friends and former beauty industry colleagues Danielle Gregory and Samantha Allen. The pair spotted a gap in the UK market for affordable salon-quality false lashes and built the brand around an opening lash collection that quickly went viral — the Stephanie, Eva, and Khloe styles became staples of the UK Insta-makeup look that defined the late-2010s glam aesthetic.
From lashes, Doll Beauty expanded into a full color range — the Doll Light powder highlighter became a cult product, joined by fake tan, brow products, lip glosses, and complexion items. The brand is stocked across Boots, Beauty Bay, PrettyLittleThing, and LookFantastic, and remains one of the few UK female-founded indie beauty brands to scale into mass retail while keeping its glam, no-apologies identity.
