Ardell is a budget makeup brand from the United States, founded in 1971 by Arnold and Sydell Miller. It's best known for its Demi Wispies false lashes, Wispies and Naked Lashes and Duralash individual lashes.
Ardell traces back to 1971, when Arnold and Sydell Miller — whose first names combine to form the brand — launched Duralash Individuals, the first pre-cut individual false-lash kit and a genuine turning point for at-home lashes. American International Industries acquired the company in 1984 and grew the range from around 25 styles to well over 100.
Today Ardell is widely cited as the best-selling artificial lash brand in the world, a drugstore fixture whose Demi Wispies and Wispies are staples in makeup kits everywhere.
