Lemonhead.LA was founded in late 2015 by makeup artist Megan Dugan, a celebrity MUA who had relocated to Los Angeles two years earlier and worked behind the scenes for MAC, NARS, Trish McEvoy, Tata Harper, and Caudalie. Frustrated by the lack of high-impact, skin-friendly glitter on the market, Dugan started blending nourishing ingredients with ultra-reflective glitter in her own kitchen — creating the original mess-free glitter balms that gave the line its cult-favorite status.

Lemonhead glitters are handcrafted in Los Angeles, women-owned and operated, and worn by A-listers including Beyoncé, Margot Robbie, and Lady Gaga. The Spacejam, Stardust, and Doom Boom glitter pastes sit at the heart of the line, alongside loose glitters, glitter mascaras, and rhinestones engineered for editorial face, body, and lip work. Lemonhead has become the go-to brand for festival, editorial, and music-video makeup — the glitter that shows up on TikTok every time a viral graphic look hits the feed.
